Jennifer (Jenn) is from the Kaneohe, Hawaii, and joined us in 2023.
Her love of connecting with the community and their pets developed at a young age as she assisted her dad with his pet crematory business. She then started her career as a Veterinary Technician in 2006 throughout high school while also juggling a passion for grooming on the side. In 2012, she took an opportunity to move to Houston and dive into animal cruelty relief work while also filming documentaries about it for a well-known platform. She soon realized the painful impact of Houston's animal population right away and spent the next decade in leadership, ultimately supervising Houston's municipal animal shelter. While focusing on her career advancements and education simultaneously, she completed her Masters of Management degree from the University of Phoenix in 2023.
Jenn loves being back in a hospital setting and is enjoying making the same connections that fueled her motivation in serving others and their beloved pets all these years. In her spare time, she enjoys scenic walks, horseback rides, billiards, and anything with the ocean -of course! She has a husband, 4 children, and 6 dogs (5 of her dogs are shelter pets that she failed at fostering -oops!). Her full house never fails to remind her to find joy in the chaos!
